OVERVIEW:
There is no one cause of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Research suggests that autism develops from a combination of genetic and nongenetic, or environmental influences. There may also be co-occurring conditions that can often come with autism spectrum disorder, they include, but are not limited to, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, clinical depression, down syndrome, eating disorders, gastrointestinal symptoms, developmental delays, language display, speech disorder, motor difficulties, OCD, seizures or epilepsy, sleep problems, or Tourette’s syndrome.

SYMPTOMS:
Autism is a Spectrum Disorder, meaning the range of symptoms can vary greatly from person to person. Common symptoms include anxiety with or difficulty with social interactions, obsessive interests, repetitive behaviors, finding it difficult to understand others, seeming blunt, or having a difficult time expressing how you feel. With the proper treatments, relaxing the nervous system has a positive effect on influencing behaviors.
