Sleep disorders are irregular periods of sleep and wakefulness which disrupt the normal daily sleep-wake cycle.
Sleeping disorders can impact one’s ability to live a normal functioning lifestyle.
It’s crucial to seek treatment for sleeping disorders because chronic sleep deprivation may lead to other serious health conditions.
Many children experience sleeping problems. Children and adolescents need at least 9 hours of sleep every night. A lack of sleep can have negative effects on children’s performance in school, extracurricular activities, and social relationships. Not only do pediatric sleep problems affect child health, but they can impact family dynamics and parental or sibling sleep. Children may suffer from problems falling or staying asleep; physiological problems such as obstructive sleep apnea abnormal or disruptive behaviors during sleep such as sleepwalking or other parasomnias symptoms that occur near sleep onset such as restless legs syndrome, and daytime symptoms such as excessive sleepiness, muscle weakness, and others.
The most recognized consequence of inadequate sleep is daytime sleepiness. However, sleepiness in children commonly manifests as irritability, behavioral problems, learning difficulties, and poor academic performance. Other symptoms of sleeping disorders in children include snoring, breathing pauses, trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, sleepwalking, nightmares or night terrors, and teeth grinding. With our acupuncture treatments, we relax the nervous system, nourish hormones, balance emotions, along with improving energy and blood flow.
At Acupuncture Wellness Services, we use a combination of modalities and techniques to regulate the flow of energy in the body to achieve outstanding results. The extensive training and experience of our practitioners enables them to successfully blend time-tested and ancient treatment protocols with modern and sophisticated therapies. One of the greatest benefits of our procedure is the ability to detect and correct energetic sensitivities to foods and the environment that might be creating symptoms in your body. Each patient is treated individually, and so the combination of techniques is determined at the time of evaluation. Our treatments integrate well with western medicine, chiropractic, massage therapy, occupational therapy, dental work and nutritional healing.
“I had insomnia for as long as I can remember. Without the acupuncture treatments, I know I would still be up all night long. Now my sleep is so much better and it has helped my life in so many ways!”

“Before starting acupuncture and NAET with Dr Nicole, Jenn and Kristen, I did not realize food allergies could keep me up at night. I had the most amazing results with treating all the foods that were bothering me and now I sleep 7-8 hours per night.”
