Knee Pain

You don’t necessarily have to live with pain.

more about knee pain

OVERVIEW:
Knee pain is a very common complaint affecting people young, old, and everywhere in between. Pain in the knee can often be associated with general wear and tear from daily activities like walking, bending, standing, and lifting. Athletes or people who run or play sports that involve jumping or quick pivoting movements are more likely to experience knee pain and knee issues. Regardless of how the pain has come about, it can be an inconvenience and even crippling in some situations, so it is important to take care of your pain.

SYMPTOMS:
The intensity of knee pain can differ significantly, based on the state of injury. Some may feel only a slight spasm or ache, while others may experience debilitating knee pain interfering with their daily activities. Symptoms include swelling or stiffness, redness and warmth to touch, weakness, or instability, popping or crunching noises, or lack of range of motion. Pain can be caused by mechanical problems, types of arthritis, bakers’ cysts, ACL, MCL, or LCL injuries, bursitis, tendonitis, iliotibial band syndrome, a dislocated kneecap, or pain in other areas of the body.  With our acupuncture treatments, we relax the nervous system while improving energy and blood flow.

TREATMENT:
At Acupuncture Wellness Services, we use a combination of modalities and techniques to regulate the flow of energy in the body to achieve outstanding results.  The extensive training and experience of our practitioners enables them to successfully blend time-tested and ancient treatment protocols with modern and sophisticated therapies.  One of the greatest benefits of our procedure is the ability to detect and correct energetic sensitivities to foods and the environment that might be creating symptoms in your body.  Each patient is treated individually, and so the combination of techniques is determined at the time of evaluation.  Our treatments integrate well with western medicine, chiropractic, massage therapy, occupational therapy, dental work and nutritional healing.

“I had 2 surgeries on my left knee and a buildup of scar tissue that caused me constant pain when walking or standing... I don’t know exactly how they did it, but within a few weeks, my pain was almost completely gone. Now, I just come in for maintenance and I couldn’t be happier!”

“I had torn my ACL playing tennis. I thought I would never the same. Dr. Rotondi and Jenn treated me for several weeks. At first, I didn’t think this would help, but let me tell you, I was not disappointed!”
